Is it the best, most complete, awesome-looking, OMG, mod on the market? No, but it is highly accurate in both TC and power mode. They fit into the tank just by pushing them into place, no screwing required.Overall I would have to say that I came away from my experience with the Voopoo Alpha One extremely impressed. The coils that come with the tank is a dual mesh coil rated at 0.2 ohms for 50-80W use, and a single mesh coil 0.13-ohm and rated at around 60-85W. The base plate is removed to get to the coils, but only requires half a turn, this makes it important to hold this base plate when screwing and unscrewing to your mod, if not you can accidentally unscrew the tank coil and lose all your e-liquid! The tank supports bottom air flow control with 3x 7mm holes which are fully adjustable. The tank features top fill which is accessed by clicking a button to the top cap, the fill hole reveals with a nice big hole, simply slide the cap closed when done. The tank comes in at 24.5mm in diameter, with the bubble glass it comes out to 28mm, which holds 4ml of e-liquid, but they do also provide a straight glass which holds 2ml.Īt the top is a del-ring sleeve drip tip, so you can't use your own 810 or 510 drip tips.
Within both the VooPoo Alpha Zip and Mini kit you get the Maat sub ohm tank.
The features are pretty standard, which we see a lot across all the best vapes, but it's all down to the performance! Holding the fire button and down button rotates the screen. Within wattage mode you can lock the device by holding the up button along with the fire button, the fire button is still active so you can still vape. To return to wattage mode simply click the fire button 3 times until the wattage appears on the screen.
Within this mode, you can click the fire button 4 times to adjust the wattage for the set temperature.
On the side of both mods is the square, large firing button, a nice large screen, and an up and down button, followed by the micro USB connector for charging and firmware updates.
Obviously, due to the width difference, the full size can hold tanks up to 25mm in diameter without any overhang, whilst the Alpa Mini can hold a tank with a diameter of 24mm.
On the top of each mod is the 510 tank thread, again, keeping with VooPoos regular design they are not quite centered. Whilst the Alpha Zip mini comes in with a length of 80mm, a width of 48mm wide and a depth of 24mm, so that little bit smaller.īoth are constructed of a zinc alloy and have a number of different design available which includes knight, Locomotive, Glory, Stars, and a Checkerboard. The only real difference is the size, with the Alpha Zip measuring in at 85mm tall, 51mm wide and has a depth of 25mm. The VooPoo Alpha Zip and Alpha Zip Mini sport the same design features, consisting of the traditional box mod look.
